Transmar Commodity Group is a full service cocoa trading and cocoa products supplier to the international confectionery industry. Founded by Peter G. Johnson in 1980, the company is privately owned and is now a second-generation family business, with sons, Peter B. Johnson and Timothy Johnson managing processing plants in Germany and Ecuador respectively.

Transmar operates a trading book in virtually every major bean origin and has customers in nearly all consumer nations. The company is one of the largest buyers in the world of Ecuador cocoa beans and has built a state of the art liquor processing plant there. The Euromar plant which offers all types of bean processing serves the European market from its geographic vantage point in northern Germany. Two other processing facilities on the US east and west coast service the confectionery industry as well.
